The Mansion at Ocean Edge was first built as Fieldstone Hall in 1886 by Addie Daniels and Roland Nickerson. The building was destroyed by fire in 1906. Roland died two weeks later. The widowed Addie had the Hall rebuilt in 1912. The building now resembles a country manor with a blend of Renaissance Revival and Gothic themes, thanks to its oak carved staircase, leaded glass windows and outdoor terraces.In 1942, The mansion was purchased by LaSalette Fathers who used it as a ministry novitiate and then as a seminary.In 1980, Corcoran, Mullins, Jennison, Inc. bought the property and developed the Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club resort which enhances and sustains the historic site.  You can reach them at 508-896-9000.
