Overlooking Cape Cod Bay from a low ridge along Brewster’s historic Route 6A, the resort seems an ideal place for special occasions. Weddings and conferences, and vacationers are attracted to this old mansion with its richly paneled walls andits fine restaurants, not to mention of course, its spectacular view. Originally known as Fieldstone Hall built in 1890 by Samuel and Matilda Nickerson, the mansion burned down in 1906. It was rebuilt and completed in 1912 by Addie Daniels Nickerson, widow of Samuel and Matilda’s son, Roland. In 1942 The Mansion property was purchased by La Salette Fathers and used as a seminary.

Corcoran, Mullins, Jennison, Inc. purchased the property in 1980.  The company preserved the estate and developed the resort Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club.
